These methods can be very helpful when trying to determine why a wire won't route. Lesson 9A - Selection in the Connection List For this lesson you need the fully routed tutorial assembly. You can pick up where you left off from the last lesson or you can open 9-tutorial_assembly.prt. Step 1 | Go into the Connection List View of the Route List Navigator. | Step 2 | Choose entries one at a time in the Connection List. - The routes associated with the records are highlighted in the graphical display window.

| Step 3 | Select all entries (hold cursor over a title and press MB3 then choose Select All).- The entire routing highlights.

| Step 4 | Use MB3 again and choose Invert Selection. Since all entries were selected, Invert Selection causes none of the entries to be selected.- No objects are highlighted/selected in the graphical display window.

| Step 5 | Select one segment at a time in the graphical window display. - All connections routed through the selected segments are highlighted in the Connection List dialog. Consequently, all the routes associated to those entries now selected in the connection list are highlighted.

| Step 6 | Deselect one segment at a time in the graphical window display by holding down the shift key. - All connections routed throUGh the selected segments are unhighlighted in the Connection List view.) J) e4 [# R8 F. L4 ]
| Step 7 | Clear all selections in the connection list by clicking on one (making it the only selected entry) and then holding down the control key and selecting the same entry again. | 4 ^( A% Q; K6 a- O8 k
Lesson 9B - Associativity Between Lists Step 1 | Select the first entry in the connection list (C1).Take note of the device and connector assignments of this connection. | Step 2 | In the Route List Navigator toolbar, choose the Component List View icon.Notice that two components are already highlighted. These are the From and To assignments of C1. | Step 3 | In the component list, select the first entry (CONN_A).- The corresponding component highlights in the graphics display.1 H: ?3 l, L+ a6 Q+ ?) u
| Step 4 | With the cursor positioned over the selected entry, press MB3 and choose View Connections.- The Connection List View is now displayed. All the wires in the list that are connected to the component that was previously selected in the Component List View are selected and their routes highlighted.$ a4 a4 {4 i% l
| Step 5 | Return to the Component List View.- All the component entries associated with the selected entries in the connection list are now selected and their assigned components are highlighted in the graphics window.0 g7 c) |5 ~2 g6 x

| Step 3 | Activate the Assembly Navigator (View->Assembly Navigator). | Step 4 | Select a component in the component list.- The component to which the entry in the component list is assigned is highlighted in the Assembly Navigator, as well as in the graphics window.
