Job description:
1. Lead the technical aspects and delivery follow-up of mechanical development activities at the ODM’s ( Original Design Manufacturer) for Gateway housings.
2. Propose technical feasible solutions in line with Thomson product guidelines but based on mainly high level inputs from customers
) U& N! @) c9 o" \- A' ?  @# u3. Continuously balance cost, quality and lead-time of housing design in a competitive market.
' Y/ Y0 G. I9 S$ DDetailed:
6 i% c& r, w$ Z; w1. manage whole mechanical design-flow from idea to industrial product
$ O6 ~" k8 D& p2 v2. translate typical customer Look&Feel-specs into measurable/technical specs
% f0 F1 g4 B% }- e7 Q" ^" C3. Set-up high level specification (or requirements) for plastic housing development
4. Track and support the development and testing of housings @ ODM
: r' S& m' [: r; Ta) Define technical solutions in-line with Thomson’s strategy on cost, quality and availability
1 u2 r: w% M. u. ~4 F( m. Q( `b) Judge and validate the mechanical/technical solutions.
c) Validate tooling trial samples through different steps and evaluate with a “customer’s eye”.
5. Develop the outlook and technology-roadmap of the next generation gateways.

- _4 ^. _* P  `$ x1 LGood communication skills in English (both orally and written) and Chinese.
Specific
- p7 ?) g* U, z" z* WSkills
1. Bachelor degree in Mechnical Engineering or similar by experience.
2. 4+ years experience in Mechanical design, preferably in plastic for consumer products.
6 N4 R: g- P$ _4 m4 R3. Project management experience is a strong plus. (MS Office, MS Project)
4. CAD tools UG-NX5 is a must

, ]0 _) u  e# K7 T6. Plastic Injection Technology
7. Industrial processes on mechanical items
+ |! w1 h1 r, x5 w( W8. Thermal management
4 V4 n( m' v! s  B6 n" L- O9 `9. Secondary process technology (Spray painting, Silk printing, Tempo printing, Laser engraving)
) x" x9 ^1 B' E3 f: s10. Basic knowledge on electronic components is a plus.


UG经验，英语口语可以沟通，4年经验以上。
