4 f0 M3 z' K K- qIt is simple, You can build a special thread in UG, just using the HELIX and SWEPT command
2 U# e$ ]) X0 u1. Create a helix by HELIX command (three important parameter: number of turns, pitch and radius), _2 m& N. C) x$ E/ z7 A# O
2. Then make a sketch at the start of helix( triangle,rectangle or trapezoid)
& W* A! q1 \- |/ ]* b) S( m& T3. Use the SWEPT comand to create the thread, helix is the guide curve and the sketch you created in step 2 is the section. the orientation method must be ” Vector Direction“ and the ZC Axis is the Vector.! J: X& |+ {( N* y# {: M( A8 m# J
5 k# K1 [7 f5 ERotate the single thread 180 degree you can get a double thread, rotate the thread 120 degree twice you can get a triple thread.2 W% Q! |' `' w% a
